Is there any other alternative design for Arbor press instead of using rack and pinion gear?
I have downloaded Arbor press of rack and pinion mechanism, but i want to know other alternative method of pressing mechanism other than using a gear.

You could use a lever, a cam or a screw.
WDS has many clamping components that could be utilised to make a press.
yes you can use hydraulic piston instead of both rack and pinion, and also worm gear you can use there
Try Schmidt arbor press site. They have CAD files too.
