Positioned sketch
Is there a way that "Positioned sketch" feature, like the one found in catia can be done in Solidworks?
I want to control the orientation of a sketch in a plane.

are you asking about moving a sketch from one plane to another?
jinx, moving a sketch can be done with derived sketch or copying sketch or convert entities (some cases). But I want to control the orientation of a sketch while drawing it....
I do this in Catia by playing around with H and V.... Can it be done in SW?
go to your sketch in the tree, right click on it. in the pop-up box click on the 2nd icon, top left. then select which plane you would like to move the sketch to in the tree. hope this helps.
Got it. I used alt+ left arrow before sketching, and then started sketching in the orientation i needed. :)
