problem in converting chasis in catia
i was making chasis for baja in catia, i made it by sketch<surface<thick surface..
i want to open it in solidworks... when i convert it in iges or stp and open again in catia or solidworks, its mass properties changes... like for same density it was 31 kg before and then when i apply material in solidworks for same density its 44 kgs. why this is happening and solution plz..

did the size (height, width, depth) change also?
When you save it as igs or step, you actually don't save materials or colors. To be sure of density make your own material on both catia and in solidworks. Also it should be noted that the step files on catia will have density of water (1000 kg/m3) unless you apply material to it. You can export color when you save as step but not sure of material.
