Solidworks to Autocad 3Ds Max with Color

By Jacob Zizmor on 15 Jul 20:17 1 answer 0 comments

I'm looking to export an existing SLDASM to 3DS Max.
The following file formats are open to me: {.3DS, .OBJ, .FBX, .DWG .STL}

I have tried a few, however I have been unable to export any of these and retain the colors in my model. Whether the "colors" need to be a material or appearance I can change.

Any ideas?

    Solidworks use Inbuilt "Modo" rendering Engine, quite different then "Mental Ray" or Vray rendering engine used in 3ds Max, try importing to ACIS .Sat files, IT WORKS BETTER THEN OTHER FORMATS.
