Tracing Paper - Keyshot

Hi Guys,

i'm quite new to keyshot and i am trying to "develope" a tracing paper.
The deep Material thing (don't know the english term - german here) is a big questionmark for me. I'm trying to understand how it works, try different things but the tracng paper is like a book wth seven seals.
i got a metrial from a nice human but it's not 100% how i would like it to look. I've attached a picture. I'ts the paper on top. i can't get it to be more white/milky and if i take a booklet and the paper is "standing" it's almost like textured glass.

i just don't get how i can mae it look like actual tracing paper. Milky white, slighty textured.

I would love to get a sample material but also an explanation how it works, because i really want to learn how stuff works, so i can do it on my own next time.

Hi Carola,

I don't personally use Keyshot but most rendering programs use many of the same methods to produce textures.

I would have a look at some tutorials on YouTube for KeyShot's 'Material Graph'.

Using the Material Graph you can create any texture you might want, however, it gets complicated very fast!

I would stick to the more simple methods in the Material Graph such as the 'Diffuse' Node which lets you plug in textures to create a material.

If you have a look online you should be able to find a set of texture maps (a set of images that define a texture) for paper. Then you can change the opacity to make the texture translucent.

The types of texture image you need are Colour (also known as Diffuse), and Bump (also known as Normal). If you then add Texture Map Nodes containing these texture images into the inputs of the KeyShot Diffuse material Node, you can then apply them to an object.

I hope this makes some sense!

Here's the texture images you might need.
You can get these for free on some websites or you can pay for them too on other sites like Polligon and others.
