Understanding Trigger and Claw Mechanism
Hello all,
I was watching this interesting video (link below) about a trigger and claw tool that people can use to pick up object. When it came to fixing the spring and rope to set up the trigger, this wasn't explained in the video and I didn't see how he tied up the rope to the string to make it so that when he presses the trigger, the claw closes and grabs, instead of opens.

Can someone please explain to me how he connected the rope to the spring?

He didn't connect the rope to the spring.
Watch closely from 6:15, you'll notice that he connected the rope to the 2 wooden parts, where the gripper part is the one connected to the spring.
