Where do i start when modeling handle like this?

By Mantas Kava on 07 May 05:49 2 answers 0 comments

so here i have this quite complex handle i need to model, i have tried myself doing it in an easy way (taking photo from above and from the side and then using sketch photo), but for this it has to be really accurate taken photos i guess and its kinda problematic.
Then i just extruded and cuted and added some fillets, but i know it shouldnt be the right way to do it.
So, the question is, what is the right way to do this?
Oh and ive added a render of handle i made so far too.
Thanks alot

don't think there is a "right way" to do this. As long as you achieve the desired
result, that is all that matters.

well the problem is i didnt achieve the result i was looking for. by saying right way i mean most efficient and accurate :) because i dont think one can achieve exact copy of the original handle just by some extruding and cutting and adding fillets. There should be some smarter way i think.
