Iam a student pursuing mechanical engineering and would like to learn a competitive and current CAD software....which should it be ? SW,Catia,Nastran,NX??
Aerospace industries usually use CATIA, sometimes ProE. Solidworks is pretty common too in other places. You should probably learn Solidworks first, then the other CAD programs will be easier to learn. By the way, NASTRAN is an analysis software, not CAD.
I like Solid Works but it is really up to the individual.
Its totally upto you. For example, I like Autodesk Inventor
ptc vreo 2 is best ,but one is evergreen i.e is ug nx 9,though it is totally up to u which software u r familiar with.ug nx 9 is a user friendly software because in assembly drawing where u want to edit the sketch or make it work display part and hence the part can be modified in the assembly itself, where as in catia or creo 2 u have to individually modify it and then the necessary update will be there but still i want to say its totally up to u
Hello, I've always used CATIA it is very fast and CAD / CAM software make things easy. Currently use a simpler software.
You can see it in this link http://www.solidface.com/looking-best-cad-cam-software/
