How do I taper a coil in Inventor?

Tapering a Coil.

1. Step 1:

   Create a 3d sketch and make a coil
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Create a plane on one end
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Create a sketch on that plane, using the geometry from the coil
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Use the sweep tool with a negative angle.
   It should result in a tip.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   There you have it. Hope it helps.
