How to model a spring in Autodesk Inventor

Step by step

1. Step 1:

   Open up a new IPT file,
   Use Line tool and draw a straight vertical line
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Draw another line, this one horizontal
   

   

3. Step 3:

   At the end point of the second line, draw a circle with the correct diameter
   

   

4. Step 4:

   .
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Finish sketch
   

   

6. Step 6:

   When in the model mode, press the coil feature
   

   

7. Step 7:

   Here, choose the axis line and the rotation.

   

8. Step 8:

   Axis line is the vertical line that we draw first. (The red line)
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Choose the type, i choose Revolution and Height in this case
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Add the values on, revolution and height.
    

    

11. Step 11:

    Hit OK...
