1. Step 1:

   Now this next method gives some very realistic effects for reflective surfaces. What you do is create a new layer hold ALT go to LAYER MERGE VISIBLE. dont let go of the alt or mouse otherwise it will not work. Take that layer and set blending mode to difference
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Create a selection of the previous layer fill it with white 100% and set blending mode to overlay.
