In this video, we will learn how to search and automatically select elements in CATIA. This can be a very helpful time-saving tool, especially when working with large assemblies. We will start by learning how to use the basic search tools in CATIA. We can search by name, type, color, and other properties. We can also use advanced search operators to combine multiple criteria. Once we have found the elements we want to select, we can use the automatic selection feature to select them all at once. This can be done by clicking the "Find and Select" button in the search dialog box. We will also learn how to save our search queries as favorites so that we can easily reuse them later. By default, Rectangle Selection Mode is active but it will be deactivated as soon as you select another mode. In fact, these selection modes are exclusive and only one mode at a time can be active. If you select a mode other than the default one then deselect it, then the default mode is automatically activated.
