Thanks to everyone who participated! There were a lot of creative solutions and many learned new skills by trying software that was outside of their comfort zone. We believe these winners are the best solutions based on our goals of creativity, quality, and design thinking. We looked in-depth at how each finalist performed within those areas. Congratulations to all our winners! There were a few spirited entries that we wanted to recognize as honorable mentions, too!
Great job overall! Quality design with some adjustments to original Crazy Cart that could make customized bodies more possible. We like the great renderings and the shape that pays tribute to vintage cars. Joshua's presentation shows a consistency in capturing the aesthetic of a certain era and style (Audi Union Type C) from the font choice in the car's name to the shape of the car. We thought this design was executed in a creative and quality fashion with nice modifications to the Crazy Cart's drift mechanism.

Definitely adds the cool factor for a low-cost accessory. Scott obviously gave a lot of thought on how to power the lighting effect, how the battery compartment would look, and how it could be attached to the bottom of the cart. The rendering is informative, instructive, and fun. We Iike his creativity in achieving a dramatic effect with the additional of a few small components. The effects of lit ground would be incredible!

Rethinking the cart as a snow vehicle is imaginative and add loads of fun! Thomas's snow cart idea can easily be packaged as an add-on kit. The drift action in the sophisticated animation gives us a hint of the maneuvering possibilities. We hope the idea gets prototyped so an expert snowboarder can figure out some previously unknown stunts possible with the snow cart. The quality CAD work on this cart is excellent! The drift action in the animation is fascinating.

Great job, John! We really like the quality of John's renderings and animation, which shows how the chassis would attach to the base cart. It design appears to attach to the current Crazy Cart chassis without requiring retooling and without compromising performance. We like that this design shows impressive and imaginative surface and shape design. The unique styling of the body kit shows off the unique abilities of the Crazy Cart. Most body-kit designs attempt to make the cart look like a traditional car, John's wheelless design strikes a great balance between 'race car' (traditional) and 'futuristic vehicle' (new).

Well thought out and researched product from design to cost. Good presentation and thorough look at engineering aspects. GoPros and creative camera angles that communicate the Crazy Cart's maneuverability have been crucial to the Cart's current popularity. This is a GREAT angle to film from unfortunately the footage is usually too shaky to use. It'd be great to see a fix for that in the future.

This design shows a practical, feasible way to join the second cart to the first cart. We love the idea of adding more people to the fun! This design seems well executed -- we'll have to build one to see if it works as planned!

Adding music to the Crazy Cart experience brings a whole new level of fun. We're in support of solar-powered vehicles, so it'd be cool to see this system modified so you can charge more than accessories. Creative idea for a DIY hack!

The illumination seems like a great idea for night-time fun, which extends the limits of crazy cart usage. We love Anirban's homage to TRON, which is reflected in the curvature of his design and the light colors.

Great approach to addressing the problems with improved design and materials. We were very impressed with the approach that Robert took toward his design! Starting by researching the Crazy Cart was exactly the approach I would recommend. Great job Robert!
