Adding (copying) geometries from one part file to another

By Akin on 13 Jan 09:39 1 answer 5336 views 0 comments

Hello,

I would like to know how to add geometries (certain operations) from one part file to another?

I trieds with edit > copy and edit > paste but can you suggest any other easier procedure to perform this?

Thank you in advance

You can use publish geometry in one part and then copy geometry in part you want to put that geometry from part 1. In Copy geometry options you can make this copy "dependent" or not.

Undependent is required if you are making mechanisms so that they can move and not end up being grounded by copy geometry.(There is workaround to use "dependent" and still move mechanism but im guessing you dont need this now)
When publishing geometry just click on name of part at top of model tree so entire part geometry is automaticly selected.
