Hi! I have a job to recreate this beautiful pattern at SolidWorks 2013, but its very complicated and took me 2 days only to duplicate the curves. Now it's turn of the dots or more exactly rhombus, because it's more easy for production. So I wondering is it has some other program or method that will help me to recreate faster the pattern. My current method took me too many time and it's pain at the ass, too many lines for extrusion.
If you have a reference image or a pattern then you may use Inkscape for designing such pattern. it will be good if you have and black and white image. This software converts image file to a vector file. you can download the software here, It's free
I think I may explain it better with an example-

no, its problem of program / or Parasolid kernel / - to many elements, example - glass for oven, glass for car
Is there any better way to do it??
if dots is over 20000 - not helpful
Still it will be better than manually doing 20,000 dots... I haven't tried for that much dots, though... that's going to require one outstanding processor along with giant RAM...
