Maximum Mold Opening, as it applies to the actual mold, is:

The maximum distance the mold can be opened.

It is generally measured from the top of the mold to the bottom of the mold, with the mold in it's max open position.

For most molds the max mold opening is infinity, because the cavity & core halves of the mold are not connected to each other. But some molds can only be opened a certain distance, because they are interconnected and thus limited with regards to how far they can be opened.

1. You are not supposed to post screenshots, or even tell people about the types of questions on the exam. Reread the terms you agreed to when starting the exam.

2. Nobody can calculate the Max Mold Opening without the assembly and part files. The files which you are also not supposed to share.

3. Runner and Sprue are common vocabulary terms in the mold making industry. If you know nothing about mold making, it makes no sense to take the mold making exam. Runner: In an injection mold, the feed channel, usually of circular cross section, which connects the sprue with the cavity gate. The term is also used for the plastic piece formed in this channel.
