Export of tolerance
I want to know can we export tolerances along with the geometry using STEP or IGES for ex using CAD..??

Not with solidworks, Cannot speak for other CAD software.
SolidWorks has DimXpert which creates model based GD&T tolerance information with an API that third party vendors can use to extract this data. Makes a great demo. Less great for realistic parts. Is anyone out there using this product? Is SolidWorks supporting it? Does anyone know of a commercially available manufacturing solution that is extracting DimXpert data? There is an MBE industry initiative to tackle this problem, but until a CAD vendor actualy makes it work with CAM partners, it's academic. http://model-based-enterprise.org/MBE-Benefits/Default.aspx . Anark is offering a 3D PDF solution for 3D tolerances. But as far as I know, the only 3D tolerance you can reliably export is in STL. Else, you need a drawing. Bob
