How to create our own database in Solidworks?

I am doing a project on computer aided fixture design and for this I want to create a database of 3d models and its corresponding fixture in Solidworks software. Can anyone tell how I can add my own models into existing database of solidworks.
Secondly how to store the information of a 3d models like its different dimensions, features in a text format. Please reply.
