how to open SW 2012 file in SW 2010

I've a number of SW 2011 and SW2012 design files that I want to open, but I only have SW 2010... Is there any way to convert the files back to a SW 2010 compatible format?

i think the answer is no. perhaps you can convert them to step iges format.

yeah, that looks to be the case...
the only way is step/iges or parasolid

I've done quite a bit of research on this and spoken with my solidworks provider. The only way is to change the format
