Ideas for a simple CAD assembly project (~180 min, intermediate level)
I need for a university project an assembly that can be modeled in about 180 minutes on an introduction / intermediate level. Examples that were already done are a simple car jack, a C-clamp, a sheet metal shear and a hand press. I have to create a tutorial as a project. Does anyone have more ideas?

For a university project that can be modeled in about 180 minutes at an introductory to intermediate level, consider assemblies like a bench vise, a manual hole punch, a toggle clamp, a simple gear press, or a mechanical stapler. These devices typically have around 5–15 parts with clear mechanical interaction, making them ideal for modeling and explaining in a tutorial. They also provide a good balance between functional complexity and modeling time, while illustrating key mechanical concepts like levers, pivots, and fasteners.
