motion study vs simulation
can any one tell me the difference between motion study and simulation in solidworks and when to use it ?

Motion study in solidworks is just like DMU kinematics providing kinematic motions for your products by knowing its degrees of freedom.
eg. to provide motion for a windmill
Simulation is all about enhancing the quality of your products by testing it under various conditions computationally.
eg. testing it maximum capabilities.
in addition.
Motion is a simulation tool without full analysis results. (results for displacement, resulting forces etc).
Use motion study to verify if a wrench has enough room to turn a bolt, use a simulation to verify the bolt head is strong enough for the applied torque.
