Surface modeling in Solidworks What type of splines does SW use
Anybody familiar on the technical aspects of surface modeling in solidworks. Are the splines that solidworks use NURB based splines. Like Rhino or Alias or is it different? Meaning will the quality of the spline affect the quality of the surface in solidworks. Those who use Alias or Rhino will have an idea of what im talking about.

SolidWorks use approximation & interpolation both for splines but all you need to do is check an option in Sketch options. Like Rhino it can use approximation+interpolation. Quality of spline will effect the quality of surface in SolidWorks.
