What are the Advantages/ Disadvantages of making a Part model away from absolute origin in any CAD Software?

Recently I was asked by a someone to duplicate a part file in CAD software. But according to general practice or habit i made it around the origin in solidworks. But still i was asked to make it far off from that point. So I just want to know is there any advantages or disadvantages of making a part model far away from the origin?

Ps: Part was duplicated during an Interview.
