What version of Autodesk Inventor do I need to save a file in a catpart, and then open it in catia?

What version of Autodesk Inventor do I need to save a file in a catpart, and then open it in catia? I have Autodesk Inventor 2015 but when I save it as .catpart I can not open it in Catia. Catia says: Wrong application level. Do you know which version of Inventor I need? Please help me.

You can save files in format of .igs or .stp from inventor and then open in catia o even in any software

Saving as an iges file or step file is always the best option for use between different softwares. The issue however is feature trees are typically lost between softwares. I transfer between solidworks and inventor all the time and this happens. Catia may have "feature recognition" when loading the parts of a different software, but it rarely works out 100%. Its something we just have to live with sadly.

As for version of inventor, the version of inventor you have must be either be the same year release as catia or older. I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but its usually true among several softwares.

Try to do the model in catia if you want full editing feature, or even you can edit igs files from catia
