why this intersection curve extending upto the end point
In the image you can see 2 green curves which were used to make intersection curve(yellow). One end of yellow curve is starting from the end point of green curve but other end is not reaching to other end point. I have tried with different curves and also tried by changing which curve i pick first but still no success.

I think you try rebuild your second sketch and make coincident endpoints.
Open second sketch pick end point on the curve hold down control key and pick end point to another sketch and make them coincide on the left toolbar.
