How to Model Sheet Metal Door Hinge in Solidworks with Animation & Rendering

In this tutorial, we'll learn how to make a sheet metal door hinge using sheet metal commands. It is a basic exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners. This tutorial is comprised of four parts: 1) Parts Modeling 2) Assembly 3) Animation 4) Rendering In the first section, i have modeled three parts, hinge fix plate, hinge move-able plate and hinge pin using different commands. In the second section, i have assembled all the parts using different mates. I have used, hinge mate, lock mate, concentric mate, limit mate (within the hinge mate). In the third section I have animated the hinge, using motor at 4 rpm, by selecting one of the knuckle of the move-able hinge. For rotating to and fro i have used playback reciprocating mode with x2 speed. In the last section, I have applied the appearance and scene and rendered the model. The thumbnail rendering is not of photoview360 but it is rendered in Keyshot. It was a time taking process so I haven't used Keyshot here but later I'll use it. #hinge #mechanical_engineering #CADable Door Hinge Files: https://grabcad.com/library/sheet-metal-hinge-3 Please Subscribe our Channel for more Videos and Projects in Solidworks.
