Some times we need make croquis or sketches for show our ideas to a client, or some times company's request us datasheets of equipments before buy our project. This make Solidworks and another 3D tools a very slow type of CAD tool for this task, nonetheless de 2D tools are a good option to make this quickly. In this tutorial I will show how to make in a little steps an Helicoidal Screw to Conveyors. Im my profile I you publish the .dwg and a pdf for more detail.

Hey, first video tutorial... it's not great. This is in response to a question. I go through removing the current text fields (deleting them) and then the process of adding in new fields that reference properties for both the drawing and the model. This will help keep the meta data alive for project/database software like PDM.

➤How to optimize a CAD drawing in AutoCAD? If you’ve been working on a file for some time, and you’ve noticed AutoCAD slowing down, then it may be worth doing a bit of a cleanup to help slim that drawing file down. ➤What is an optimized drawing and what are the benefits? An optimized drawing with a minimum amount of unnecessary data tends to perform faster, the drawing load time is significantly better and chances of drawing corruption also reduce to a great extent. ➤In this video I'll show you the most efficient ways of cleaning and optimizing your drawings in AutoCAD. ➤IT IS GOOD PRACTICE TO OPTIMIZE AND CLEAN YOUR DRAWING BEFORE IMPORTING IT INTO OTHER SOFTWARE LIKE REVIT, 3DS MAX ETC. ➤"Drawing Purge" Add-In download https://apps.autodesk.com/en/Publisher/PublisherHomepage?ID=200809200135043

One type of industrial component I have been involved with the design and manufacture of is lobster-back bends. This type of duct bend is made up of segments cut from flat sheets or plates, rolled into cylindrical parts, then assembled. These can be light sheet-metal or manufactured from thick plate. This quick tutorial is a supplement to the one I produced an outline of a method I have used modeling this type of component using Alibre Design. As this supplement concerns producing parts ready for manufacture and applies to whatever software you have used, that is not important as this short tutorial is to outline turning your modeled bend into the flat profile ready to be made into the completed bend. In this modern world, the bend parts will be cut out using CNC laser, or CNC Plasma cutting machines. Sometimes we produce the nc programs ourselves or we are required to produce the correct files for the laser / plasma department to program and cut out. Making the program to cut out the parts starts normally from a 2D dxf file at a scale of 1 : 1. This is the first part of the process that has to be correct. If you produce this dxf incorrectly the finished parts will be useless. Producing this at the right scale, 1 : 1 is different with different 3D cad applications, other problems can be caused by you working in different drawing units. If you are not doing the program, talk to the person who is to make sure you produce the dxf as required. Having a large quantity of wrongly cut parts is not a good thing
