I think that at this point you are able to design the upper part of the Pillow Block and in this second part of the tutorial I focus on how can you assembly a model. To follow this tutorial download my Pillow Block model that contains all parts we will use now.
Under the main page of Solid Edge left click in “ISO ASSEMBLY”
Click in “Part Library”
Select and drag-drop “Part4” to the “in-work screen”.
Do the same procedure and drag “Superior” part to the “in-work-screen”
Automatically the software turns on “Assemble” which is the command responsible to make the mates relations between parts. Select the bottom face of “Superior” part and the top face of “Part4”. As you can see automatically those faces are mated coincident.
Now select the cylindrical face of one hole of “Superior” part and the respective cylindrical face of “Part4” to be mated and see that automatically they are setted as concentric. Do the same to the other couple of holes and this two pieces are correctly mated.
Let’s install now the Grease. Again drag the Grease, select a cylindrical face of it and the hole in “Superior” part where it should fit.
Select the bottom face of the Grease head and the face where it should “seat”
Drag Washer ISO7091 and the bolt ISO4014 assembly each other and then assemble it to “Superior” part.
And we are done:
