Tutorial for beginners: how to make brass knuckles in Solidworks?

1. Step 1:

   Download this image.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Open solidworks, choose part and click OK:
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Click on Sketch and choose any plane to sketch on.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Choose Sketch Picture and open the picture you downloaded.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Carefully using Sketch tools follow the contours (there is Autotrace add-in in Solidworks, but i would not recommend using it for better end result)
   

   

6. Step 6:

   In the Features tab, click on Extruded Boss/Base.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   Choose the thickness you prefer. 30 to 40 mm seems okay. Click on the green tick.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   To make our part more appealing we are going to add fillets.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Click on the left button and drag the mouse over the part to select all the edges. Choose the radius you like. In my case, i chose 3mm. Click the green tick and you are done!
   

   

10. Step 10:

    Done.
    

    

11. Step 11:

    Do not forget to hit "It worked" if you liked the tutorial.
