Tutorial - TopDown Design on SolidEdge ST3


Welcome to my tutorial, for a TopDown design experience...

Step 1:
Download "Starting Assembly" on one of the following links :

Step 2:
Go to the head of Assembly : 01-Tuto_SolidEdge_Asm.asm
You will found two sketches on the head of assembly. -
Step 3:
- Right mouse on the first sketch.
- Select "copy sketch" .... and go to next step -
Step 4:
- Select to destination part for copy (02-Tuto_SolidEdge_Part-1-Cap.par)
- Ensure "Link to file" is check. -
Step 5:
- Repeat the two last steps, to the second sketch,
and this time, link it to : 03-Tuto_SolidEdge_Part-2-Inner.par -
Step 6:
Now, your sketches are linked to the respective parts.
Note : It is possible to link the same sketch to different parts... -
Step 7:
Save all files.

Step 8:
Go to : 02-Tuto_SolidEdge_Part-1-Cap.par

Step 9:
You will find the linked sketch...

Step 10:
Make a revolution of the sketch (360°)

Step 11:
Save part and return to assembly

Step 12:
- Go to : 03-Tuto_SolidEdge_Part-2-Inner.par

Step 13:
Make a revolution of the sketch (360°)

Step 14:
Save part and return to assembly.
You will see this on your screen -
Step 15:
Now, try to modify : SKETCH_1_CAP, by change the external radius dimension (15 mm > 30mm).
In our case, sketches have been constrained for this... you will see that the inner have follow the cap modifications.
