How advance select criteria is applied using vba to select parts in activeDoc?

How advance select criteria is applied using vba to select parts in activeDoc?
I could find Advance select interface for adding, deleting criterias but not able to apply it on the activedoc.

Call ThisApplication.ActiveDocument.SelectSet.Select(compOcc)
