Any help regarding this problem would be appreciated.
Please see the attached Inventor files. I am trying to cover an entire Capacitor with an image as a decal but it won't chain faces. It seems to have a problem with the shape of certain curves.
do this, hope this help

I downloaded your model really nice by the way...
I don't know if you tried already to uncheck the "wrap to face" in the decal feature... it will give hopefully what you are looking for...
But, still the question remains how to chain the face and wrap to face... I don't know really good point!!!
It doesn't look bad... Although you can see some blank spots / errors from the software

The pic or image you want to use will always keep its aspect relationship to its original width and length. Try taking the image into Photoshop and modifying it in there and then back to IV.
Ioannis Skarlatakis and William thanks for your insights. I have, however, tried these things. It looks like Inventor has a problem with the semi-toroidal faces it must cross to get to the other cylindrical and flat faces.
Does anybody know of a workaround method that maybe "tricks" Inventor into thinking it is doing the right thing with the same effect?
@Lance & @William The only trick (if you want) that I found is just to do the same as ady presents below for both sides... you get what you want but it is quite silly... Especially when solidworks gives so many options on decals ;P
This was very helpful.
