How to join a part from two points simultaneously

By Damian Fowler on 04 Jan 02:53 2 answers 0 comments

Hi,

I was just wondering how i can join two parts together (part A & part B), while aligning two shafts (on part A) with their respective housings (on part B). See attached pics for further details.

Thanks

Using the adaptive part feature might work. If you dimension only what you don't want to change like the diameter and such and then right click on the part in the assembly and choose adaptive before constraining your part it should work out. Could you possibly post your part files?

If the parts are coplanar, you should be able to use an axial mate to align the two components. Is this what you are looking to accomplish. Hope this helps and have a most blessed night!

    Peace,
    Pete
