Possible to create automatic hole in assembly?

Hello guys,

I am working on assembly which has a small plate (refer attachments) with two hole in it, being used as joining purpose. Traditionally (What I am doing so far), I call the plate (single plate inserting number of times, sometime copy with mates) in the assembly. Then, I take hole series/ hole wizard/ simple hole from assembly feature and cut the hole in the different locations where the Plate is placed. So it is making assembly complex and I think there must be some feature to ease this. What I am looking is when I mate the plate to other parts it will automatically create hole in the part. Is it possible to do so? If not, then is there any other way to do this.
