How do I move parts and sub assm. to a different layer in an assembly?
I'm trying to figure out how to move certain parts onto a different layer to have multiple iterations for the same assm. Any help would be appreciated!

If I have understood your question correctly, you want the 'Transfer' button. Find it in the Modify group on the Home Tab.
