In this tutorial, we'll learn how to make allen hex bolt in SOLIDWORKS 2020. This exercise contains the following features: 1) Basic 2D Sketch 2) Revolved Boss 3) Chamfer 4) Revolved Cut 5) Thread 6) Appearance 7) Rendering 8) 3d Printing It is a good exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners. I have divided this tutorial into two parts. In the first part we will model allen bolt in SOLIDWORKS 2020. In the 2nd part, we will do basic rendering using Keyshot via Keyshot add-in. I have also shown how to save 3d print able file i.e. stl file in SOLIDWORKS. Kindly use play pause technique for practice. I have attached files in the description for practice. In some cases, it's better to use the revolve cut feature instead of a normal revolve, because in the real manufacturing process, you will start with a body of material and cut your product from it. You cant revolve a wheel in real life!
