In this video, you will learn an awesome Solidworks skill that can help you advance in your learning of 3D Modeling. In multibody parts, you can move, rotate, and copy solid and surface bodies, or place them using mates. The SOLIDWORKS 'Move/Copy Body' command is an efficient way to get a model reoriented properly for a variety of downstream uses. In this video, we will learn how to use this body move/copy feature in a way that will make editing a part easy. There is no need to remove a part because of wrong positioning. You can use this feature to move the body to the desire and appropriate location. When working with imported STEP, IGES, or Parasolid imported geometry, there might be a need to reorient the model.
