This is how I see assembly in SolidWorks: In assemby mode you add parts and mates between them- mainly for making 2d or check collisions. When you want make a movie showing how your machine works - you should use motion study and animation option. And If you want make a gravity simulation or other contact between elements you should use motion study- BASIC MOTION option. (of course you might make a movie of this) And this tutorial is about BASIC motion elementry options. Hello 3DExperience Fans :) I took a 3-month break from YouTube to get fresh new ideas and now I am back to provide you new videos and tutorial for 3DExperience! Today's video is an introduction to Dynamic Simulation on CATIA 3DExperience R2020x. In first part we will talk about friction coefficient in contacts. First you will learn how to create a mechanism, add weight and create contacts between component. Then you will create a dynamic scenario in Mechanical Systems Experience. You will be able to create a gravity excitation and compute the dynamic simulation. The case of the simulation is a cube sliding on a ramp. You can play with the angle of the ramp and the friction coefficient to obtain different results in the dynamic simulation. Enjoy and remember to stay home! Hope this video will be helpful for you to learn more about 3DExperience :D Find the model on this GrabCad link Please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe ;)

Hello everyone :) Here is our second part of our Introduction to Dynamic Simulation on CATIA 3DExperience R2020x. This time, we will talk about the second parameter of contact restitution coefficient. This paramter allows the different part to bounce when there is a collision. Like in the first Part, you will create a mechanism verify the weight and create contacts between component. Then you will create a dynamic scenario in Mechanical Systems Experience. You will be able to create a gravity excitation and compute the dynamic simulation. The case of the simulation is a ball falling on trampolines. You can play with the restitution coefficient of the trampolines to obtain different results in the dynamic simulation like high bounce or no bounce at all. The goal is to put the ball in the bowl :) Enjoy and remember to stay home! Hope this video will be helpful for you to learn more about 3DExperience :D Please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe ;)

Hello CATIA Fans :) This video is the 3rd part of our Introduction to Dynamic Simulation on CATIA 3DExperience R2020x. In this new tutorial we will talk about group of contact between several parts. For illustrating group of contact, the scenario is the following: 4 balls falling in a funnel. You will create the contacts between the balls and the funnel, and the contacts between each ball. As well as adding friction coefficient [ intro Part 1: https://youtu.be/mKr6L0J6tjc ] and restitution coefficient [ intro Part 2: https://youtu.be/MeVwlQ_znUk ]. As you probably now already, if you have seen the other videos, you will create a dynamic scenario in Mechanical Systems Experience. You will create a gravity excitation and compute the dynamic simulation. You will try different diameter size of the funnel hole and study the behavior of the falling balls. Enjoy and remember to stay home! Hope this video will be helpful for you to learn more about 3DExperience :D Please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe ;)
