Learn How to Export SOLIDWORKS File to AutoCAD DWG/DXF

0 0 Beginner
Hi friends welcome back to CADable. Its been a while since I am making a tutorial. In this tutorial, we will be exporting a file from Solidworks to AutoCAD. Remember Solidworks part file format is .sldprt while AutoCAD has either .dwg or .dxf file formats. DWG is Autocad standard drawing file format while DXF is data exchange format and this file format is mostly accepted by many machining processes like different CAM software's, Laser cutting, EDM etc. First we will create a simple arbitrary blank in SOLIDWORKS, then we will save that file as DXF. After that a window will pop up like AutoCAD and we will save that DXF file. Lastly I have used that file from AutoCAD. Kindly use play pause technique for practice. Here, I am not attaching a practice file since it is a very easy tutorial, but if you are facing problems, you can ask, and I'll upload the file. Feel free to ask your queries in comment section. I will try to answer each and every question. Keep practicing as practice makes a man perfect.

How to export b.o.m. to excel temp?

0 1 Intermediate
The only way I know of that Inventor can export to excel is with the Export BOM tool once you finish making the BOM in the idw. You can use the tool I have highlighted in the image to bring up the column chooser tool which will let you choose exactly what columns to display. As for exporting a header per assembly, there is no tool inventor has that I'm aware of. There isn't a temp. style that can really work with it either. I'm sorry I couldn't be of too much more help.

Learn Spur Gear Animation in SOLIDWORKS & in Keyshot

In this tutorial, we'll learn how to make spur gear animation in SOLIDWORKS and in Keyshot. Here we will make spur gears using SOLIDWORKS design library i.e. using tool box. In the 1st section of the tutorial, we will assemble and animate spur gears in SOLIWORKS. In the 2nd section of the tutorial, we will export our animation into Keyshot using Keyshot plug-in. It is a basic exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners. Here, we'll learn these commands and features: 1) Basic 2D commands 2) Assembly 3) Tool Box 3) Coincident Mate 4) Concentric Mate 5) Gear Mate 6) Motion Study 7) Keyshot Plug-in 8) Material 9) Rendering Kindly use play pause technique for practice. I have attached files in the description for practice. Feel free to ask your queries in comment section. I will try to answer each and every question. 3D Printing CAD STL Export Settings for no segments

0 1 Beginner
3D printing is booming–big time. And since most 3D printers accept STL exports, engineers are using the export format more and more. I’ve experimented with 3D printing using different settings of the STL export format. In this Video, I’ll share my experiences with you. For the sake of accuracy, for these tests I used NX 11 and an Anycubic mega X 3D printer.
