Step 11
your part is ready to use
could you please post the drawing of the part with dimensions as you did for the connecting rod??
That drawing does not belong to me, someone sent it. I used random dimensions Prashant
Can you post the Detailed Drawing at the end like you did in the Part 1 Connecting Rod Tutorial?
I'm doing this in Inventor and it should be easy, the problems are lack of dimensions,if you look at part 5 in this tutorial, you basically have two rectangles and two circles that have been trimmed but I can't find a dimension for the outside vertical lines in that sketch anybody know, lack of dims is the biggest flaw to any drawing, for modeling and animation purposes,is it 20 mm or 30 mm?
Hello, why we haw different between extrude values part1 step9 (15mm total) and part2 step 6 (11mm total) is this correct?
I have been trying to follow this tutorial which would be good yet the above comment is typical of misinformation or lack of a dimension to complete a part. So I have just stopped doing them. Showing the Feature Tree in the screen shots might help.
Good idea, about the feature tree. This is the first tutorial I've started following, hopefully they all aren't missing information.
The dimension for the two parts should be the same, where the 15mm extrusion comes in is for the flange, that connects to the connecting rod. Hope your still working on it.
For step 7 I converted the edge of the connecting rod #2 and applied a 2mm offset to get the radius 21mm sketch, if anyone was struggling.
Cheers
I made drawing of this part of connection rod. The dims are like ones on connection rod part 1 drawing on the end of the tutorial. Hope it helps. :)
Drawings and models of whole connection rod attached. Made in SW 2012!
In Step 6 it is instructed to extrude the body in two directions but how much is not mentioned as in part 1 total 15mm (7.5+7.5mm) was extruded. Pls Suggest. Using AutoCAD Mechanical. Thanks
